Celebrating 26 Years of Life | Happy Birthday to Me!


My 26th birthday was last Friday, June 5th. It feels like just last year I was celebrating my 19th birthday. I cannot believe I am 26 years old! Where has the time gone? I am no longer in my early 20’s. My age is now referred to as late 20’s…sigh!

My fiance made sure I had the best birthday, as he always does. My day started out with chocolate chip pancakes and coffee!


Mike surprised me with a bag of my favorite candy,York peppermint patties and a new Kate Spade bag! It is the prettiest color. This picture does not do it justice. It is like an orangey-red color, perfect for summer!

We went to downtown St. Petersburg and explored around there. I picked a cute little Italian restaurant called Bella Brava for lunch. It was very urban and modern. The food was SO delicious!



We ordered a white bean hummus appetizer to start. It came with olives, roasted peppers and grilled pita bread for dipping.


We both ordered a panino. I got the portobello mushroom panino. It had roasted peppers, onions, arugula, a hummus spread and tons of mushrooms! Mike had a chicken caprese panino.

It started pouring while we were having lunch. It always seems to rain at some point on my birthday! It slowed down a bit, so we walked down to a cute little cafe.


They had tons of pastries, gelato, and drinks! We both ordered cappuccinos and a little snack; A biscotti for mike and two macaroons for me!

We then went to The Dali Museum. We went there 3 years ago for my 23rd birthday and had tons of fun. I love looking at art and I’m happy I can share my love of art with my fiance!  Fun Fact: I have been drawing/painting since I was 10 years old, but haven’t really done any art since senior year of high school!

After our eventful day, he took me to The Melting Pot for my birthday dinner. I have been wanting to go there for so long! The whole experience of the fondue and cooking your own food in the pot was so fun and nothing like I’ve ever done before.


Quattro formagio cheese fondue, diablo shrimp and salmon with veggies, chocolate peanut butter chocolate with fruits and treats to dip in; I was full enough to last me through the weekend!


Sour Patch martini. Mmmm!


Love of my life!

Being 26 started out perfectly. I cannot wait to see what this year brings me. I may be getting older, but that just means I’m getting wiser, right? I am forever grateful that I have Mike and for him making my special day perfect.
