Helloooo Beauties!

I recently bought the NYX Dream Catcher Palette in Golden Horizons from Target. After reading a lot of reviews I decided to give it a try. It was only $14.99, so i figured why not? Many people said that it is comparable to the Naked palettes. I have never used the Naked palettes, so I had to go off of my impression of the palette. I have been loving the colors and this has been my go to eye shadow the past two weeks.

Golden Horizons Palette.

First, I just want to say that the colors in this palette are so beautiful. I use a lot of neutral colors and felt that this palette suited my looks better than the other palette colors. Shimmery, bronzy colors are perfect for summer looks!

Swatches without primer.

The colors look nice alone, but I always wear an eye primer. Eye primer makes the colors stay on longer and makes them appear more vibrant. It doesn’t say anywhere on the package what the names of the colors are. The texture of the eye shadow is a powder. I read that some people used them wet and got a nice color. I haven’t tried it as a wet shadow yet, but I’m sure the look is similar with eye primer.

Pretty & Neutral.

For my every day look, I use the 4th color in the top row as my crease color and the 2nd color in the bottom row as my lid color. Sometimes I’ll use the gold color on the end as my lid color. I have tried out several different color combinations and these are the two I love the most.

Surprise!

A cool thing about this palette is that it has this mirror and eye shadow brush underneath the eye colors. It makes this palette perfect for on the go. It is pretty compact and small enough to fit into your purse.

I hope this review was helpful! What drug store eye shadows do you all love for the summer?
