If concealer is a foreign object to your beauty bag, you NEED to add it! Concealer never used to be apart of my beauty routine, but I decided to try it out one day and now I can’t live without it. Many people are hesitant to applying concealer because it can often look cake-y. I am sharing two tricks to get the perfect look every time.
I have tried numerous concealers, but the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind dark circle eraser is definitely my holy grail! This concealer comes in a variety of shades to match your skin tone. I use the brightener illuminator and it really makes a difference. It really brightens my under eye area and I look well rested, even when I’m not!
Trick #1 Apply concealer with long strokes, not dots. This makes it easier to work into the skin. Gently pat the concealer under the eye using your middle finger or a damp beauty blender. This also applies if you apply it to your forehead, around the mouth, or bridge of nose.
Maybelline FIT Me! Matte powder is perfect for setting concealer. I like to use the shades Translucent 100 and Porcelain 110. This powder comes in a variety of shades that perfectly match your skin type.
Trick #2 Help reduce creasing by always setting your concealer with a powder, but not too much. If you overly powder the area, it will begin to look dull and defeat what you’re trying to accomplish.
These tricks are what work for me and hopefully work for you, too! Let me know if you try out these tips in the comments below and use the hashtag #glamfitfoodie on Instagram so I can see the look!
