Bright White Smile | Oral Hygeine Routine

Hello beauties!

I hope you all enjoyed your week! It’s almost Friday! For some of you that means the weekend, for me it just means a long weekend of work lol! Today I am gonna talk about getting pearly whites. I have always had good oral hygeine and took good care of my teeth. I used to have an “ugly” tooth that I despised and wanted to fix it. After months of saving, last November I got braces! Just shy of a year, I got them off on October 7th. Before braces I had always gotten compliments on my teeth. I don’t do anything special, really. I wanted to share with you all what I do and you can definitely do it, too!

Brush & Floss

Always brush twice a day and floss every night! For some reason flossing is the enemy for most people. In my house growing up, we always flossed our teeth at night and had good brushing habits. This helps get rid of any food that may be in between your teeth that can cause staining or cavities.

Whitening Mouth Wash

The only beverages I consume are coffee (lots of it!!), tea, and water. Two of the things I drink can cause staining on the teeth. Luckily, I have my handy dandy mouth wash. I have been using this mouth wash by Crest for about 7 years now. After brushing and flossing, swish this around for about a minute every night. This stuff is my holy grail!

Whitening Strips

I really like these! I recently started using these after I got my braces off. I usually use them once a week, but you can use it more frequently if you’d like. It does warn you of sensitivity to your teeth and gums. I haven’t had an issue so far.

…and that’s basically all I do. I don’t do anything that isn’t easy for anyone else to do. I think the brushing and flossing habits need to be developed first before you start whitening.
