During the Summer months I love bronzed, glowy skin because it looks so fresh and healthy. I love adding a pop of color to my lips to bring everything together. My Summer routine is pretty similar to what I do all year round, just with added highlight, a lighter blush shade and amped up bronzer! The steps to achieve this glowy, fresh look are below!
1. Start by applying your favorite moisturizer. Always hydrate your skin! I love the Clinique 72 hour moisturize surge + Vitamin C.
2. I like to start my make up with eye shadow. I apply the ELF eye shadow primer all over my lid. I have been loving the shades in my Morphe 35V palette lately! They’re so pigmented and smooth! I start by applying the shade “Go Nude” (matte cream) all over my lid then I use “Scandal” (matte sandy brown) in my crease. I use a darker shade “Vixen” (matte nutmeg) in the outer corners of my eye in a sideways V shape to give a little more definition, but keep it natural.
3. Next, I apply my favorite Estée Lauder DoubleWear Foundation [I’m the shade pure beige] all over with an IT Cosmetics foundation brush.
4. Next I apply my Maybelline age rewind concealer in ‘brightener‘ under my eyes. I like to drag it down half way to my nose then swoop in a U shape, dragging it under my eyes. Using THIS damp beauty sponge, I bounce the concealer into my skin blending it all out into my foundation. I use any excess on the sponge for my forehead and down my nose.
5. Some like to skip this step, but I always set my concealer with Maybelline Fit Me powder in “translucent‘. I use this real techniques brush to dust away any excess.
6. Bronzer! Blush! Highlighter! I love the Too Faced bronzer in the shade ‘Chocolate Soliel‘ and Tarte ‘Park Avenue Princess‘. Both bronzers give off such a pretty color. I’ve been using Maybelline Fit me Blush in the shade “Pink” and Tarte highlighter from THIS palette. I use my big fluffy brush by real techniques and start to apply bronzer using circular motions along my cheek bones, forehead and jawline.
7. Using the same brush, I apply blush on the apples of my cheeks and the highlighter along the tops of my cheeks, forehead, top of nose, and top of lips. Anywhere you would naturally get a highlight and glow!
8. I use Anastasia brow pencil [dark brown] to fill in my brows. Skip the eyeliner.
9. Next, I prime my eyelashes and apply mascara to the top and lower lashes using my holy grail L’Oreal mascara! It seriously is the best!
10. Lips! I outline my lips with the Maybelline lip liner in the shade ‘rose’ and depending on the day I’ll use THIS in the shade “Feelin Myself” or THIS pink shade.
Set everything with your favorite spray. I like THIS rose water spray. It’s cooling and smells refreshing!
And you’re good to go! I hope y’all enjoy this look and try it out for yourself!
