First post of 2020β¨π! And ICYMI- I cut 5 inches off of my hair! π³ The last time I had short mid- length hair was in 2014! I was nervous, but my hair needed the chop! βοΈ It feels so refreshed and looks much healthier. My hair routine has been cut in half which has been a lifesaver in the mornings! I’m OBSESSED!
I wanted to share how I’ve been styling my shorter hair and you guys- it literally takes 15 mins tops! Plus, Clayton surprised me w the T3 curling iron (that I’ve been wanting for like ever! βΊοΈ) for Christmas and it is amazing for waves and curls!
Let’s get started!
1. After I dry my hair, I brush it and section it into 2 sections. Clip up the top section.
2. I grab 1 inch pieces and curl away from my face. It probably equals out to about 4 sections on each side. Hold each curl for 30 secs.
3. Let curls cool and set.
4. Next, drop the top section down and do the same thing- curl 1 inch sections away from your face.
5. Once that’s done, I then go through those pieces and curl smaller sections just to add more Volume.
6. Let those curls set for about 5 mins.
7. I then like to tousle my curls with my fingers and separate the pieces.
8. Once it looks the way I want it to, I spray all over with THIS Aussie hairspray to set.
And Voila! Messy waves that last!
P. S. These curls are even better for next day hair! I just add in some dry shampoo, add curls where needed and I’m set!
